The annual FREE Loch Lomond Food and Drink Festival is back next weekend on the 4th and 5th September and is shaping up to be a great day out for all the family with a great entertainment line-up and new charitable partnership.

As well as welcoming many visitors this summer, Loch Lomond Shores has also been busy welcoming new businesses and retailers, building on their already strong visitor offering.

At a time when the retail sector is suffering the effects of COVID across the UK, it is incredibly heartening to welcome several new, diverse businesses to Loch Lomond Shores in the past few weeks.

These include Stevie’s Drams in our mall which brings the finest of Scotland’s whisky from all the regions, along with a few other spirits and features drams you won’t find in your local supermarket.

Tweeds of Scotland within our mall is also new and features a clothing collection that offers a wide range of high-quality items that provides a full wardrobe option for both ladies and gents. It is also home to a wide range of Harris Tweed jackets, coats, handbags, wallets and scarves as well as classic outdoor clothing, cashmere, merino and lambswool knitwear as well as kilt wear and much more.

A major new scheme to support the transformation of towns and neighbourhoods across Scotland was launched recently with the support of Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce.

A Scottish Government Minister has heard how hundreds of Dunbartonshire businesses have benefitted from a major drive urging people to love local.

Community Wealth Minister Tom Arthur was briefed on high-profile work locally as he launched the new £10m Scotland Loves Local Fund in Milngavie.

The Shop Local campaign led by DCC designed to generate support for local traders and businesses continues its roll-out to include Balloch.

“LovesLocal” has been put together to link in with a national #ScotlandLovesLocal TV, press and social media campaign that calls for people to #ThinkLocalFirst and is supported by The Scottish Government in partnership with Scotland's Towns Partnership.

The campaign has already been successfully implemented across 3 towns in West Dunbartonshire to take in Alexandria, Dumbarton & Clydebank with the support of West Dunbartonshire Council and Business Gateway.
