Chamber Launches "D-Biz" Supplier Development Programme

An exciting new initiative to support suppliers in Dunbartonshire has been set up by the local Chamber of Commerce.

D-Biz is Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce's new supplier development programme designed to support suppliers in Dunbartonshire and help them secure more contracts both locally and nationally.

Damon Scott, Chief Executive of Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce said: “We are really excited about some of the potential D-Biz could create for local businesses.

“D-Biz will feature a mix of events, knowledge transfer, signposting, mentoring and one-to-one support.

“We will provide access to contracts available in Dunbartonshire via our website and other communications channels so businesses should make sure they sign up to our D-Biz Emailing list to receive updates and opportunities.”

The inaugural D-Biz opportunity will see the Chamber providing support for a grounds maintenance contract for Strathleven Regeneration Company in the Vale of Leven. As well as promoting the tender the Chamber will provide expert advice at an Awareness & Advice Session for the contract at Strathleven House on 27th August (10am). CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION

Mr Scott adds: “We have been working closely with Strathleven Regeneration CiC on this project which is what provided the inspiration to set up D-Biz. It combines the mix of business engagement and specialist knowledge that we are delighted to have within the chamber. One of our group of “Chamber Experts”, Shiona Campbell of BDS Ltd, will lead the Awareness Session and provide important advice for local businesses to help them strengthen their tender submissions.”

D-Biz will also be used as a platform to run a Business-to-Business “Shop Local” campaign to encourage and enable more Dunbartonshire Businesses to trade with each other.
