Aftermarket Sales Engineer at DTGen
Job purpose:
To quote all planned and reactive remedial works within the service department.
Daily roles and responsibilities:
- Monitor and react to all incoming service remedials
- Prepare customer quotations for service remedial works
- Undertake the follow-up of the remedial and system upgrade/project quotations
- Process and log all orders received for service remedial works.
- Work with Business Development Manager on larger complex remedial works
- Liaise with Parts Department, external suppliers and specialist contractors to arrange for the remedial works to be undertaken
- Liaise with Service Operations Team to arrange for service remedial works to be undertaken
- Liaise with Workshop to arrange for internal service remedials work to be undertaken
- Complete costing and invoicing of planned and reactive remedial works
- Undertake Invoicing for other works within the Service Department when required
- Undertake the renewal of customer service contracts
- Provide holiday and sickness cover for the commercial and operational staff within the Service Department
- Undertake general administrative duties within the Service Department
- Comply with the company health and safety policy
- Comply with all aspects of the company’s ISO standards: Quality management - ISO 9001:2015 / Environmental - ISO 14001: 2015 / Occupational health and safety management - ISO 45001:2018, proactively contributing to the company’s continuous improvement
- Observe and demonstrate behaviour in line with the core values of the company
Qualifications and skills:
- Understanding of generators and/or mechanical and electrical equipment
- Good organisational skills required
- Customer focus and commercial awareness
- Conversant with key Microsoft applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
- Familiar with Business systems and practices
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time effectively
- Friendly, positive and confident manner
- Can work on own initiative and be a team player
