The Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce has announced the appointment of a new Chief Executive for the business organisation.

Damon Scott, who takes on the role of Chief Executive this week has a long-standing association with the area. He was part of the team that launched Loch Lomond Shores visitor destination and subsequently went on to set up his own marketing business, Nonconform Limited at the site. He will continue to deliver the services of Nonconform, now based at the Titan Enterprise Centre in Clydebank, alongside the work he does for the chamber that has offices nearby in the Whitecrook Business Centre. He is also a director on the board of The Lennox Partnership and has previously worked for Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce.

Chamber President, Stewart Rennie, said: “We are delighted to announce the appointment of Damon Scott as our new CEO. He will help take the chamber through its next phase of development with some exciting new ideas to grow the chamber including; development of the events programme, increased engagement with members and other businesses and collaborative work with our partners.”

Damon Scott said: “This is an exciting opportunity for me to help support business in the area. The chamber and our partners can offer some really important benefits to the whole range of businesses -from start-ups that need basic help on setting-up and launching to multi-million pound companies that need help to grow. We already have a strong following on Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook so we’ll certainly be looking to build on the modern ways of communicating our events and other activities to a wider audience.”
