Golden Jubilee committed to supporting our Armed Forces

The Golden Jubilee Foundation has furthered their commitment to our armed forces community by signing the Armed Forces Covenant.

The Golden Jubilee has a long track record of supporting the Regular and Reserve forces. Signing of the Covenant is the latest step in recognising the value that serving personnel, veterans, and military families contribute to our business and our country.

Golden Jubilee Foundation Chief Executive, Jill Young, said: “For over 14 years, the Golden Jubilee has supported both clinical and non clinical reservist staff in serving the armed forces overseas in places such as Afghanistan.

“The Covenant provides a formal declaration of our intention to continue to support our Armed forces. We not only proactively support employees who choose to be members of the Reserve forces, but we also support the recruitment of veterans and Service families.

“In line with our vision of leading quality, research and innovation within the healthcare sector, we will also share learning and new ways of working through our partnership with the Armed Forces. This will hopefully result in transferable innovative training and leading edge solutions to improve services for everyone.”

The MoD’s Regional Employer Engagement Director Ron Macgregor said: “We are delighted that the Golden Jubilee has signed the Armed Forces Covenant – a promise by the nation ensuring that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly.

“By employing Reservists the Golden Jubilee has recognised the value of transferable skills gained in both the civilian and military environments. We are delighted to be working with such a forward-leaning champion of the armed forces and look forward to continuing our ever-closer relationship.”

The Golden Jubilee also support the cadet force and Armed Forces personnel who regularly attend events on site.
