A recent event at Strathleven House gave businesses an important insight into cyber crime.

Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce teamed up with Scottish Centre for Business Resilience (SBRC) to provide Dunbartonshire businesses with access to key information to help them improve their cyber security.

Around 30 businesspeople heard from Chris Lewis an expert from SBRC at the event entitled “How Safe is Your Business?”.

Damon Scott, Chief Executive, Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “With cyber crime on the increase our free event provided crucial information about how businesses can protect themselves against attacks. All organisations are vulnerable no matter what their size and the results can be devastating resulting in the loss of data, significant down-time and costs running to thousands of pounds. The Dunbartonshire Chamber / SBRC partnership means we can offer our members access to important resources to combat cyber crime for free.”

The event was presented in partnership with Scottish Historic Building Trust with support from Vale of Leven Industrial Estate Business Improvement District.
