Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol and Drugs to take part in Kiltwalk

On Sunday 30 April 2017, a team of families, friends, staff, board members and supporters will be taking part in the Kiltwalk for Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol and Drugs. We have 32 amazing Kiltwalkers in total who have signed up to be part of this event. Fourteen of these walkers come from our brilliant family support groups held across East Dunbartonshire. They will take mighty strides and fundraise, helping to support thousands of families across Scotland. This is the first time that Scottish Families will have a team taking part in the iconic Kiltwalk and with only a couple of weeks left to go, the families and staff are all very excited!

At Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol and Drugs, we exist to support families across Scotland who are affected by or worried for someone’s alcohol or drug misuse. We are unique as one of our core values is to think about and focus on the family and the impact an individual’s substance use has on the family as a group. We provide services across Scotland, including dedicated services in the Dunbartonshire area. Fundraising is vital for us to continue providing this support. As new members of the commerce, we are hoping to make links with local businesses and to increase awareness of our services. If you would like to find out more about how your business can help provide a lifeline for families in Dunbartonshire please contact Fundraising Manager Sarah Nottingham, [email protected] of 0141 221 0544.
