Cafe with a Conscience
The Golden Jubilee Foundation recently announced the launch of Café Latte, a new not for profit, coffee shop, literally pouring profits back into the Golden Jubilee Foundation Charity, supporting healthcare across Scotland.
Café Latte will be run by the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel, a key part of the Foundation, and located in the on-site Conservatory, providing customers with an additional relaxation area providing a brighter, larger and more relaxed atmosphere.
Any profits from the Café will be reinvested into the charity that support the groundbreaking healthcare innovations and research work of the Golden Jubilee.
Commenting on the new venture, General Manager of the four star venue , Gary Rice, said: “At the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel, we are committed to playing our part to raise funds for the pioneering work of the Foundation, supporting the organisation to improve the standard of healthcare for patients all across NHSScotland.
“Café Latte is a Café with a conscience, which will not only continue to deliver the level of service excellence expected from a four star hotel, but will also drive our commitment to health and wellbeing and giving our customers and local community more choice to lead healthier lifestyles. We will be offering a wide range of nutritious food and drink, including protein bars, hydration juices and fresh fruit smoothies, and much more.”
Café Latte will also continue the Conference Hotel’s dedication to sustainable, ethical, practices, using Fairtrade certified goods and locally sourced produce wherever possible, supporting the local community and reducing their impact on the environment.
Gary added: “We are very excited about the possibilities of the Café and look forward to playing a small part in making a positive difference to patient care across Scotland. ”
