Open for Business 2017
Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce is delighted to be an event partner to support “West Dunbartonshire Council – Open for Business 2017”.
Local businesses are being invited to attend the Council’s FREE “Meet The Buyer” public procurement event, bringing together buyers and services from the Council as well as Scotland Excel and the Supplier Development Programme, so the event offers you the chance to speak directly to the purchasers and decision-makers including the Council’s Procurement and Economic Development teams.
There will also be the opportunity to meet the contractors Morgan Sindall, Balfour Beatty, GHI Contracts, BAM Nuttall and Hub West Scotland who are involved in major public and private sector developments both within the West Dunbartonshire area and further afield. There are fantastic opportunities for small to medium sized companies to find out about potential supply chain opportunities and expand their businesses.
Scotland Excel (the centre of procurement expertise for the local government sector) will be on hand to offer information about future framework opportunities, and advice and support on how best to tender for these.
The Construction Industry Trade Body (‘CITB’), Supplier Development Programme (‘SDP’) and the Chamber of Commerce will also be on hand to offer a variety of information, advice and support to local businesses, and help get them ‘tender ready’ for future opportunities.
The purpose of this event is to encourage businesses to engage with the right people to market their goods and services. There will also be the opportunity to network with other like-minded organisations during and after the event.
This is a FREE drop in event. Delegates can arrive any time between 09:30am and 1:30pm. Registration prior to the event is not necessary.

Why Join the Chamber
Chamber membership can save you hundreds or more each year for just a few pence a day. Have a look at some of the benefits of being a chamber member.
I would highly recommend chamber membership to any Dunbartonshire business. The chamber works hard to make connections and generate profile for its members and SHBT have enjoyed a number of benefits over the years.
