Developing Young Workforce
Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) is a Scottish Government initiative created to encourage and support employers to engage with schools and colleges to recruit more young people into their workforce.
Your Regional DYW team can support you to work in partnership with education. This could be in the form of:
- Providing inspirational talks to young people about your own career path and experience.
- Form a partnership with your local school and college.
- Provide young people with quality work placements.
- Employ a Modern Apprentice or trainee.
- Become Investors in Young People accredited.
If you are willing to get involved please contact the relevant DYW team (there is one for East Dunbartonshire and a separate team for West Dunbartonshire)

Why Join the Chamber
Chamber membership can save you hundreds or more each year for just a few pence a day. Have a look at some of the benefits of being a chamber member.
I would highly recommend chamber membership to any Dunbartonshire business. The chamber works hard to make connections and generate profile for its members and SHBT have enjoyed a number of benefits over the years.
