RECORD NUMBERS ATTEND CHRISTMAS LUNCH
More than 70 guests attended the Dunbartonshire Chamber Christmas Lunch making it the most successful yet.
Special guest, Tim Allan, President of Scottish Chambers of Commerce and one of Scotland’s leading businessmen, gave an inspiring speech to begin proceedings in the stylish surroundings of Boclair House.
The charity fundraising raffle was also a great success and, along with other donations, generated around £1500 for the Erskine to provide care for veterans. Again, this was the most raised for the nominated charity at any Christmas lunch doubling the previous figure in part due to a generous donation from the Clydebank-based Sim Property Group of £500.
Damon Scott, Chief Executive of the Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce, was delighted with the event: “We have had fantastic feedback across the board and Tim’s speech was particularly well received. Boclair House provided a suitably prestigious venue and we all thoroughly enjoyed the 5 star service and an excellent meal.
“The afternoon was topped off with generous donations to our raffle so thanks must go to both the guests who bought tickets and to those companies who supported our fundraising efforts by donating prizes. We also enjoyed the support of Chivas Brothers and Clyde Training Solutions who sponsored the event to help make it the success it was.
“We are already putting plans in place for the 2019 event and have set ourselves the challenge of make next year’s even bigger and better.”

Why Join the Chamber
Chamber membership can save you hundreds or more each year for just a few pence a day. Have a look at some of the benefits of being a chamber member.
I would highly recommend chamber membership to any Dunbartonshire business. The chamber works hard to make connections and generate profile for its members and SHBT have enjoyed a number of benefits over the years.
