WORKING4BUSINESS WEEK
Dunbartonshire Women in Business is one of 4 events hosted by the Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce in the last week of November. The others were part of the Working4Business Week running from 27th November – 1st December. During the week the chamber hosted a number of FREE events including: a “Brewing Up Business” Tax and Funding Seminar at Strathleven House and The Business Breakfast Club - an informal networking at the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel.
The week culminated with the Chamber’s Christmas Business Lunch at Cameron House on Friday 1st December (12.30pm) with guest speaker, Paul Barrett of IED Training - Paul served as one of the elite Mountain Leaders of the Royal Marines for 21 years. In 2008 he became one of Britain’s wounded warriors after stepping on an enemy landmine during a tour of Afghanistan. He returned to full health following a six-year journey of incredible courage, grit and determination is an extraordinary and inspirational life: tragedy, appalling physical wounds, rehabilitation, triumph over adversity and remarkable success. Needless-to-say his story wowed the 50+ guests at the chamber lunch.
Damon Scott, Chief Executive, Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce, commented: “This was a truly great event that was both inspirational and enjoyable. As well as setting up and running his own business Paul has built a reputation as a thoroughly entertaining motivational speaker and came highly recommended. This year we supported CHAS as the chosen charity for the Christmas Lunch and a fantastic fund-raising raffle with some great prizes raised over £600!”

Why Join the Chamber
Chamber membership can save you hundreds or more each year for just a few pence a day. Have a look at some of the benefits of being a chamber member.
I would highly recommend chamber membership to any Dunbartonshire business. The chamber works hard to make connections and generate profile for its members and SHBT have enjoyed a number of benefits over the years.
