Clyde Shopping Centre
A new report has placed Clyde shopping centre in the top 50 the UK.
The report by GlobalData, which surveyed 5,000 shoppers in the UK for their ratings looked at turnover, size and footfall.
Damon Scott, Chief Executive of Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “It is really encouraging to hear that one of our members, Clyde Shopping Centre, has been ranked in the top 50 shopping centres in the UK.
“The results were based on annual turnover, size, footfall and shopper ratings which are provide a good mix of benchmarks. This reflects the progress the centre has made over the last few years and how important it is to the local economy to generate jobs and its place as a key asset for the communities in the area.
“Clydebank Shopping Centre has performed amazingly well despite an extremely challenging time within the retail sector. The recent announcement that anchor-store, TJ Hughes, will be added to the mix this Autumn follows on from the opening of a new Nandos restaurant, Ollybear designer kids clothing shop and Matzaluna pizza.
There is still potential for Clyde Shopping Centre and the adjacent Retail Park to develop further and add to the mix that is already attracting significant numbers of shoppers and visitors to the town. As a chamber we will do what we can to encourage and support this development and work with our members to support their ongoing efforts.”
Why Join the Chamber
Chamber membership can save you hundreds or more each year for just a few pence a day. Have a look at some of the benefits of being a chamber member.
I would highly recommend chamber membership to any Dunbartonshire business. The chamber works hard to make connections and generate profile for its members and SHBT have enjoyed a number of benefits over the years.
