Former-Glasgow Warriors and Scotland captain, Al Kellock, has been confirmed as the special guest speaker at the Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce Christmas Lunch event on Thursday 8th December.

Kellock, who captained Scotland to a historic win against Australia in 2009 and won the Pro 12 with the Glasgow Warriors, will share some of his experiences with guests in the stylish surroundings of the newly-refurbished Boclair House in Bearsden.

Kellock, originally from Bishopbriggs, also recently became part of the Dunbartonshire business community following the opening of Finsbay Café-Bar-Restaurant in Milngavie in which he is a partner.

Damon Scott, Chief Executive of the Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce, was delighted to announce the exciting news: “We were lucky enough to have had the pleasure of Al’s company at one of our previous events. He has some great anecdotes and is a really inspirational speaker. We are delighted he has agreed to support us again to present at this popular annual event.

Guests are set for a top class event in a fantastic new venue and, with around 50 members already booked it is shaping up to be an excellent festive celebration of business in Dunbartonshire.”

The event is organised in collaboration with Business Gateway East Dunbartonshire.

Guests will be welcomed with a glass of prosecco, followed by a delicious three course meal and tea/coffee. Cost is £40.00 per person for chamber members and guests and £50.00 for non-members. MORE ABOUT AL KELLOCK

Kellock captained Glasgow from 2006 until 2015. In his last season 2014–15 before retiring, the Warriors won the Pro 12, the first major trophy that a Scottish side has won in the professional era. He was named in the Pro12 Dream Team at the end of the 2009/10 and 2012/13 seasons.

He made his Scotland debut against Australia on 6 November 2004. He captained Scotland to a historic win against Australia in November 2009.

On 25 January 2011, it was announced that Kellock would captain Scotland in the 2011 Six Nations Championship.Kellock scored his first international try against France in Scotland's opening match of the 2011 RBS Six Nations.Kellock also captained his country at the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.

His last game for Scotland was in the 42–17 win over Japan in the 2013 end-of-year rugby union internationals.

He was named as part of the November 2014 Barbarian's squad, captaining them in their match against Australia.
