Developing Young Workforce needs you!
Are you an employer? Might you be interested in informing young people about the kinds of skills and attributes that will be required to work for you? Then please talk to Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce member DYW West!
DYW West is part of the Scottish Government’s Youth Employment Strategy and it is their role to develop sustainable links between employers, schools and West College Scotland.
Foundation Apprenticeships
The programme is particularly keen to hear from employers who might consider taking on a Foundation Apprentice. The Foundation Apprenticeship is a two-year course for S5/6 pupils consisting of:
• Classroom based learning in academic year 2017/18, with a workplace visit and a talk by the employer
• A one day a week placement in academic year 2018/19.
Do you think you could offer a Foundation Apprenticeship? Or would you simply like to discuss how we could help your workforce development? Please get in contact with Chloe Dobson, DYW West Programme Executive, to discuss this:

Why Join the Chamber
Chamber membership can save you hundreds or more each year for just a few pence a day. Have a look at some of the benefits of being a chamber member.
I would highly recommend chamber membership to any Dunbartonshire business. The chamber works hard to make connections and generate profile for its members and SHBT have enjoyed a number of benefits over the years.
