Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce brought together Art and Business at a networking event in West Dunbartonshire this week.

The chamber teamed up with Awestruck Art Gallery to present a Business Networking Evening at the new gallery in Clydebank.

Guests enjoyed a private view of the artworks from a range of Scottish artists, some of whom they met in person including recent award-winner and local artist, Jim O’Donnell. They were also treated to a live demonstration of “wax painting” by John Hayes and had a rare opportunity to view an original Centurian’s uniform courtesy of John Damari whose work was also currently on display.

Gallery owner, Allan Rutherford, gave an insight into the Awestruck Art business journey which was followed by networking with Chamber Directors and other businesses.

Damon Scott, Chief Executive, Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce said: “It was great to give businesses an insight into the creative industries that form a vibrant and important part of the Dunbartonshire business community. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed finding out how Awestruck Art came about and all the various activities offered at what has become Clydebank’s “Creative Hub”. Some business even took place during the evening with a number of purchases of artists work.”
